Sydney Owenson, who was also known as Lady Morgan, published “The Wild Irish Girl” vol. 3 in 1806. This page contains the entire text of the 1813 edition of her book.
Owenson published a copy of a letter from George Sampson, beginning on page 77 of this book. Preserved in this letter is the most important information we have on the harper Denis Hempson, who performed ion the wire-strung harp in the “ancient manner” at the Belfast Harp Festival in 1792.
